Addie Diaz was trained in 1992 to be a New York professional Latin dancer by the late Evelyn Leon. She is a seasoned dance professional with over 20 years of experience who started by freelancing with several dance companies as opportunities came up. During the mid-1990's she was called to be one of the "RMM Dancers" (Ralph Mercado Management) for the 1994 & 1995 Combinacion Perfecta Tour. Addie later joined the "Descarga Latina Dance Company" in 1996 where she assisted the Director, Nelson Flores in running the team and along with other members participated in creating new choreography. She formed her own dance company (The Addie-tude Dance Company) in 1998 and has choreographed a majority of the company’s routines since then. She was an original cast member and one of the choreographers to the Off-Broadway Mambo Musical Latin Madness. She has traveled internationally to teach dance workshops and perform in the U.K., France, Japan, Germany, Canada and Switzerland to name a few.

As an instructor, Addie has a background in Mambo, Cha-Cha, Merengue, Hip-Hop and Jazz. She is a sought after choreographer who has put together dance numbers for school programs as well as for pro-teams. Addie is a Dance Artist doing residencies in public schools and community sites throughout Westchester County in New York State.

Currently she is offering her own dance classes teaching adults and teens on a weekly basis both in Westchester and at Side Street Kids Academy in the Bronx. Always enthusiastic about teaching workshops at the congresses; she specializes in Ladies Styling, Mambo Partner Dancing as well as Cha-Cha classes. Addie will be available to teach Privates at the Hawaii Salsa Festival in March 2011.
